Price book

You can set the special rules for each product by adding them to a price book. An example of a price book is a product matrix. It is also possible to set a different price for a specific visitor or user role, for example.

To access the price book page, navigate to Catalog>Manage products. Select the product you want to manage, and click on Pricing>Price book

To create a price book rule, click on ''Add new'' under the heading Price book rules.

  • Batch name: you can give the new price book rule a (batch) name.
  • Attribute combination: select an attribute combination here if you want to apply price rules to it.
  • Store: choose for which store the price rules should apply.
  • Role: choose the role for which the price rules should apply.
  • Quantity: the quantity from which the price rules should apply.
  • Price: The standard selling price for the item.
  • Product cost: A field for entering the cost of the product to the business, which is used to calculate margins and profits.
  • Old price: If the price is being updated, the old price can be listed here for reference or for displaying discounted amounts from the original price to the customer.
  • Special price: A discounted price that might be offered during a sale or promotion.
  • Start date and End date: These fields are used to specify the duration of the special price, defining when the discount starts and ends.

Use the ''save'' button to save the price book item.
